Tutoring Options

When it concerns learning, every student athlete is learns differently. Some athelites learn best in a one-on-one training environment. Others find a team approach more familiar and suitable to their needs. Therefore, AthELITE Tutoring not only offers tutoring in just about every subject, we also offer four specific tutoring options for our student athelites to best match their learning styles and circumstances:

In-Person Tutoring

In-person tutoring is the most traditional form of tutoring and AthELITE Tutoring offers the best of the best. Our student athelites are always in the expert, caring hands of our tutors who guide them through any academic struggles they are experiencing. There are two forms of in-person tutoring: in-person one-on-one tutoring and in-person group tutoring.

Through our tutoring, our tutors work like personal trainers. First they train our student athelites in the subject matter; then they “spot” our student athelites as the student athelites practice their newly learned skills and knowledge.

Benefits of One-on-One In-Person Tutoring

  • Great option for student athelites that like to work with people face-to-face
  • We can meet at your home (provided an adult is present) or at a public place (where another adult is present) such as a restaurant, coffee shop or library.
  • Excellent for student athelites who need more supervision to complete their work
  • Great way to keep student athelites, who may not have as much desire for schoolwork, on track to succeed
  • Tutors can more clearly see how a student athlete is reacting to their tutoring and then make any necessary changes.
  • Parents may attend any tutoring sessions they wish so that they can learn how to help their student athlete as well.

Benefits of Group In-Person Tutoring

  • Terrific way to get homework done between school and after school activities
  • Students and their friends can create a group and work together with one tutor to get through their homework, a particular class, a tough project, a term paper, etc.
  • Group tutoring is affordable and convenient with group discounts (Groups are limited to 5 students).
  • Students have the opportunity to explain concepts to other students which is the best way to learn and reinforce concepts they themselves are learning.
  • Great for students who open up easily around other students; encourages shy students to open up to new friends.
  • Group tutoring helps foster good communication skills.
  • Students benefit from a range of ideas and points of view.
